Project Manager • Contract/project initiation and start up: handling all client’s administrative and contractual requirements, working with METAG HQ and field teams to establish field offices, updating and submittal of required quality and safety plans • Project planning: preparation of work breakdown structures and construction schedules, subcontractor evaluation and selection, design firm selection, contractor staff planning • Project execution: full implementation of project requirements from NTP to handover, responsible for all contract deliverables and maintenance of client relationship • Project controls: actively monitor and control all project activities, overall responsibility for quality and safety on-site, control design and construction activities, manage budget and schedule to meet terms of contract, reporting to METAG senior management • Project closing: conduct performance reviews with subcontractors, designers, and staff, collect and archive lessons learned, submittal of as-built drawings, client walkthroughs and handover documentation Candidates must meet the following minimum basic requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management • 10 years experience in construction and engineering, international experience preferred • 2 years experience working with international contractors and/or organizations; preference given to candidates with US DOD and Corps of Engineers, military construction experience • Fluent English: speaking, reading, and writing; Native Dari and/or Pashto; Turkish beneficial • Computer literate: MS Office, scheduling software (MS Project, Primavera), RMS/QCS
