The objective of this project is to contribute towards stability and economic growth in Uruzgan province by developing an integrated and strategic approach to create livelihoods in the farm and non-farm sector, to enhance social sustainability, and to strengthen the institutional framework and capacities to implement and sustain social service delivery.

The implementation strategy of UPDP will be based on three main pillars:
(i) Infrastructure development activities
(ii) Socio-economic development activities
(iii) Capacity and institutional development (with a focus on the improvement of government capacities and services at the provincial and district level)

Tasks/Responsibilities
The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing, management, and quality control of the road construction and further infrastructure components (rehabilitation of access roads, construction of microdams, construction or overhaul of micro hydro power) in cooperation with the Infrastructure Pillar colleagues.
