| project manager Job description Telephoning Project Manager Gandeeray has been contracted to set up a toll free telephone line with a three digit shortcode to make it possible for the population to engage and communicate with local government in Sarkani District of Kunar Province. The phoneline will be used to discuss local issues and grievances. This is a direct means of reaching people who might not be accessible via any other means. we are making it possible to engage more fully in civic activities and the democratic process, and help in the development process. The telephone line will be used along with community radio. Interested candidates should contact Ajmal Shinwari, before February 13th , on 0700198900 to arrange for an interview. Candidates are required to have good English, computer skills and fluent in Pashto. The contract period is for four months, with possible extension. Responsiblities 1. Obtain common short code (CSC): liaise with an ecosystem of GSM companies, ministry of communication and participating wireless carriers, Mobile Application Service Providers (MASP) and Aggregators; 2. To provide daily reports on phone calls received and made during; 3. coordinate program execution with ASI, the District Governor and his senior staff; 4. Monitor designing of PSAs in close consultation with ASI, the District Governor and his staff, and Gandeeray producers; 5. submit the final versions of the radio PSA to ASI, the District Governor and his staff before broadcasting; 6. Manage and oversee the PSA production, placement and monitoring - wield together all the different element of the broadcasting; 7. Coordinate with Radio manager to gather monthly feedback on how spots were broadcasted including information on which spots were missed, as well as any other potential discrepancies; 8. travel to the Sarkani District of Kunar Province to coordinate projective activities with the District Governor as needed; 9. At the end of the third week provide an operation report on technical performance and call volume; 10. Provide weekly reports to the District Governor either in the Provincial governor office or in the district governor office. Along with it provide mid-point evaluation report with a statistical call volume report and a qualitative assessment of the effectiveness of the activity. Evaluation report will be discussed with the District Governor in week seven. 11. Provide a final report to ASI in the format requested; 12. collaborate with the District Governor in order to evaluate of the impact of the toll-free telephone number; 13. In collaboration with the management provide recommendations regarding further similar or modified activities in the week thirteen. | |
