Tactical Business Development Manager

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Identify business opportunities for Supreme Aviation at the forward deployed, combat level in Afghanistan.
• Identify and develop latent market needs and perform timely and accurate frontline analyses which result in Company solutions to potential customer problems.
• Identify, assess and track competitors.
• Develop and analyze courses of action to gain competitive advantage by matching Company strengths against competitor weaknesses.
• Report and coordinate directly with Company Senior
• Management in Dubai as well as the Company Country Management staff in Kabul
• Promote Company capabilities and advantages with key civilian and military leaders, and combat support elements in the hostile Afghanistan terrain, weather and business climate.
• Develop a depth of understanding and situational awareness of the combat and combat support environments in Afghanistan, to identify potential aviation opportunities.
• Develop professional and personal relationships with commanders, staff officers and other key combat decision makers.
• Provide information regarding Company capabilities and experience to appropriate combat decision makers.
• Develop a robust relationship / network with combat support and transport/logistic elements.
• Collect information on Company competitors and commercial activities in Afghanistan. Assess Company capabilities to define the competitive advantages, in relation to the commercial activities in Afghanistan, and use them to gain commercial advantage.
• Provide advice to Senior Management and key decision makers at corporate and country level with the best, most current information on the commercial marketplace in Afghanistan.
• Promote Company with a positive, confidence-inspiring image which positions key decision makers to include Supreme as a potential solution in their planning; particularly to satisfy immediate demands.
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders within the Afghan military Area of Operations.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience as a Ramp Manager, or equivalent position, in commercial combat support and aviation logistics operations within the Afghanistan military Area of Operations.
• Knowledge of commercial activities and support requirements for aviation logistic operations.
• At least two years military experience in the area of aviation, air movements, transport or logistics.
• Must be physically fit, combat experienced and able to endure potentially arduous living / working conditions.
• Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from an accredited university.
• Aptitude to quickly understand the Company Business Unit activities and capabilities.
• Must be a self-starter who works well and produces outcomes with minimal direct supervision.
• Well developed computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Project and Visio capable.

Preferable Skills and Qualifications:

• Russian language capabilities.
• Military experience involving operations in austere environments, preferably with tours in Afghanistan or Iraq.
