Warehouse Specialist The Warehouse Specialist (Warehouse Operations Manager), will report directly to the Alternate Site Manager. All Warehouse Functional Area Supervisors, Receiving, Storage, Inventory, Issuing and Shipping/Packing will report directly to the Warehouse Specialist. The Warehouse Specialist will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of all functional areas. The Warehouse Specialist will hold daily meetings will all Functional Area Supervisors to provide direction, resolve issues and ensure that everyone is informed of potential Surge tasking or change in operational objectives. The Warehouse Specialist will check training records for all warehouse personnel to make sure that the required training for each employee is conducted and annotated for the customer or auditors review. Also the Warehouse Specialist when checking training records will check to make sure that any recurring training required is completed and recorded. The Warehouse Specialist will confer with the Storage Supply Technician on the warehouse storage plan to identify and possibly modify the current storage plan to meet future warehousing needs. The Warehouse Specialist will daily brief the Alternate Site Manager on all warehouse operations and point out any issues or possible issues that may be detrimental to operations and the performance of the contract. The Warehouse Specialist will monitor and ensure resolution is made on any DSS common error conditions or error reports received for any other Government Furnished Data Systems that affect warehouse operations. The Warehouse Specialist will conduct daily walking inspections of all warehouse functional areas to look for neatness, cleanliness and any possible safety hazards that maybe noted. The Warehouse Specialist will then notify the appropriate Functional Area Supervisor to ensure that any discrepancies noted are corrected immediately. The Warehouse Specialist will work in step with the Supply Systems Analyst and review analysis performed to look for ways to improve warehouse operations and provide a quality warehousing program to the customer. The Warehouse Specialist will produce plans to cover any surge operational taskings that may develop with little or no notice. All plans will be reviewed with the Alternate and Site Managers for their comments, revision or concurrence.
