Supply Technician, Storage Supervisor The Storage Supervisor will report directly to the Warehouse Specialist. The Storage Supervisor will have excellent knowledge in the storage of many different types of classes of materials, ranging from consumable to hazardous materials. The Supply Storage Technician will write SOPs for all storage operations and provide training to all Storage Functional Area personnel that will give the staff the knowledge necessary so that the Storage operation runs in a smooth efficient manner. The Supply Storage Technician will provide daily briefings to the Warehouse Specialist to describe ongoing operations and advise the Warehouse Specialist on any issues that require the Warehouse Specialist’s attention or resolution from Project Management. The Supply Storage Technician will conduct daily housekeeping inspections to ensure that good practices are followed and no safety hazards exist. The Supply Storage Technician will ensure that materials are stored in the least amount of space needed and all requirements to segregate materials are adhered to. The Supply Storage Technician will utilize DSS location placards or barcode labels to mark locations in covered and open storage areas. The Supply Storage Technician will apply the Care Of Supplies in Storage (COSIS) in maintaining all materials in storage and also make sure that material is in a Ready For Issue (RFI) to prevent uneconomic deterioration. The Supply Storage Technician will monitor warehouse inspections to make sure that shelf-life and cycle inspections are conducted. The number of shelf-life items and the type of inspections required are determined by Shelf Life Codes (SLCs) and expiration dates entered into DSS upon receipt of the material.
