Senior Heavy Equipment Mechanic The qualified/certified Senior Heavy Equipment Mechanic will report directly to the Alternate Site Manager. The Senior Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be knowledgeable in the repair and overhaul of many different types of equipment that is used in warehouse and distribution operations. The Senior Heavy Equipment Mechanic will supervise a small staff of experienced Local National mechanics that will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of all equipment used for DDKA operations. The Senior Heavy Equipment Mechanic will ensure that the staff is trained on the use of shop tools, safety hazards surrounding the tools and how to use diagnostic equipment to determine repairs that need to be performed. The Senior Heavy Equipment Mechanic will develop a service schedule for all equipment assigned and distribute the schedule to all Functional Area Supervisors so that equipment will be serviced on-time. The Senior Heavy Equipment Mechanic will update the Equipment Management and Control System (EMACS) with work order information, costs of services and repairs, progress of repairs and then complete work orders once the service or repairs are completed.
