POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Technical Instructor for Operator’s and Maintenance Training classes. Provides technical support and training to customers and users worldwide with a focus on system readiness. Support includes technical assistance, advice, formal and informal operator and maintenance training, technical data collection and reporting. Serves as a Subject Matter Expert on vehicles and systems. Training consists of system operation, assembly and subassembly troubleshooting, component and system fault isolation and repair. Must be able to interpret and use engineering drawings and schematics. Familiar with the use and operation of Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE). Technically proficient in vehicle operation, maintenance and support. Experience in the mechanical/electronic field of military tracked vehicles or heavy equipment; technical knowledge depth must be first through fourth level of maintenance repair. Certified to conduct operator and maintenance training courses to customer in OPNET and MNET classes. Conducts classes both CONUS and OCONUS. Analytical ability sufficient to independently diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults. Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of related work experience OR a U.S. Department of Education accredited high school diploma or equivalent required with 5 years of Training-related experience in military or manufacturing field or related area in lieu of degree. Military instructor certification a plus. Strong communication skills with a good command of the English language. Able to work independently. Self motivated individual and must be able to effectively balance a large work load. Excellent follow-up skills with the ability to follow-through to completion. Proven ability to meet deadlines and to multi-task on multiple projects. Systems and creative thinking capabilities. Efficient with Microsoft desktop applications (i.e.; Excel, Word, Power Point, Desktop publishing). Strong understanding of Process Flow and MRP systems. Ability to work with a diversified employee population. Individual must work in a safety conscious manner compliant with the company’s safety policies and procedures.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Employee must successfully complete pre-deployment medical and dental examinations and obtain necessary immunizations if the position requires relocation overseas.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:
Describe any specialized knowledge or skill (e.g., technical, scientific, administrative, managerial), which your position requires.
US Military Instructor Certification, military heavy vehicle, trucking/automotive background is desirable. Must be trained or experienced in diesel or heavy equipment maintenance. Training or experience in basic electronics and hydraulics is desired. Must demonstrate skill in troubleshooting, repair, and use of computerized or automated test equipment. Current DoD security clearance, Commercial Driver’s License, EPA 609 Automotive Air Conditioning Repair Certification, Welding Certification, Instructor Certification, ASE Certifications and relevant military experience preferred.

Work location is in Iraq or Afghanistan. Applicant must relocate.

Danger Pay and Area Differential Pay apply.

Contract period is expected to be 12 months.

Must be able to work weekends, overtime, holidays, and any shift if required. Occasional domestic and foreign travel may be required.

Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

Supports the Force Protection Industries overall aim and ILS Systems aim.
